Well here it is a brand new look for Max’s World! With incredibly smooth blog integration…….. The excitement of it all!
Anyway you can expect to find lots more knitting based everything from now on.
Oh and if you spot any bugs please let me know. I think everything is working, but you never know…

HI, you left a slightly rude comment on my recent blog (POK re defence of my Blog etc.)
I just wanted to say that when I went to look for it it said the author had removed it, but I had not? I don’t know why or how that happened, but somone else with access to my blog may have removed the comment.
Anyway, what’s more important is that it is never a case of ‘looking back’ to the ’60s’ or any other idealised past time, but we certainly do seem to be getting ourselves into a very oppressive time and I feel the arts have a responsibility to keep alive certain ‘spaces of freedom’ -not in a ’60s’ way but in a way that they probably have since the stone age, i.e. a slightly unknown and unknowable, intuitive activity which managers and spreadsheets should never be allowed to suffocate. the reason that it is a responsibility, is because the arts keep open this alternative space to avoid totalitarian thinking from obliterating our health and happiness. your cynicism is just a sad sign of a generaion surrendering itself and the next generation to the toal success of thinkers like the American Republicans etc. who also need art to remind them that there’s is not the only way to think. My thinking is not ‘6os’ but , I hope, Untimely and always necessary.
