Art Smart

I’m going to be taking part in the University of the Arts London Art Smart Fair this July. I’ll have my knitters jewellery there and I’ll be bringing along some of my knitted characters. It’s also an ideal opportunity to make some new work that I’ve been thinking about lately. The plan is that it will be tiny, knitted and horrible. Probably a series of curious little boxes and cauldrons filled with bizarre knitted things. I thought I’d share this photo of todays research materials… and I’m planning to post regular pictures of my creations!

Press

My Jewellery for Knitters has been getting a nice amount of press in the last few months, thanks to various lovely knitting magazines. You can see the whole lot in my new Press Section and I thought I’d share the most recent piece here. Yarn Forward Magazine said ‘Why have diamonds when you can have yarn? Flaunt your love for knitting on nights out with these delightfully quirky baubles!’

Hooray for Knitting Jewellery!

BUST Craftacular

This weekend was the fantastic BUST Magazine summer craftacular. I had a stall there with Isabel Vince selling our wooly goods.

It was incredibly busy and lots of fun meeting other crafty folk. I even spotted a couple of my brooches out in the wild! There’s a great review of it up on The Guardian.

I’ve put my photos of our stall up here. And Fabric Nation managed to take a lot more than me and you can see them here.

My latest obsession…

Having fun on Etsy

I joined etsy as a seller recently to show off my new knitting earrings but the best thing I’ve found is the community there. I’ve been having a lot of fun in the forums and found lots of people selling really awesome things! So I decided to put together a treasury showing off the great sellers who make miniature bits and pieces too. Have a closer look and check out the amazingly intricate work!

I let the moustache do the talking

I designed myself a new t-shirt recently with one of my fave catchphrases on it and ordered it from cafepress. It came yesterday and I’m sooooo pleased with it!
If you’d like to share the moustache fun times you can get yourself one from cafepress.com
