The clouded magpie moth is common across the UK and can be spotted flying from May to July. Its white, grey and brown wings can disguise this moth as a bird dropping when it rests on a leaf.
I combine a range of knitting techniques to recreate different species of moths. Blending together fine stitches and colourful yarns to capture their beauty.
Presented in a dark wood box frame this would make a great addition to any home. The label has the common name and latin name as you might see in a museum display.
